Usage : Slalom, extreme races, rivers and high rivers.

Designed for slalom competitions, the Blast is a powerful and reactive paddle. Comfortable in any kind of conditions, it can also be used as a river paddle.

Options

Blast standard is delivered with Kevlar Carbon blades and Ergonomic Carbon Shaft (ovalized tube). Options are listed below allowing you to customized your Blast paddle.

What is the type of program of the Blast ?

The “BLAST” is a slalom and white water paddle, which means that you can use it for any river activity : Slalom, freestyle, rodeo, extreme races, river, playboating, creeking

Are there several blade sizes available for the Blast ?

Yes, there are several sizes available for the Blast.

  • Small for very short builds.
  • Medium for short builds.
  • Large for stronger builds.

How do I choose among the materials available for my Blast ?

In order to choose the BLAST you need, it is important to know the environment you will use it in :

  • Kevlar carbon : Thanks to its great resistance to abrasive wear, the “BLAST Kevlar carbon” is very interesting if you use it on rivers with a low water level and a lot of rocks.
  • Carbon prepreg : Thanks to its rigidity, the “BLAST carbon” is the expert model for paddle-users who limit violent braces on the rocks.

What is the standard feather of the Blast ?

We recommend, for the Blast, a 60° right or left angle. This 60° angle is Standard for river kayak paddles. However, you can order your paddle with a custom feather , with no extra charge. (The feather is the degree angle of the paddle blades are off-set to each other).

Is the Blast delivered with a paddle grip and drip rings ?

Yes, the Blast is delivered with a paddle grip built in the shaft .

What are the shafts available for the Blast ?

There are 2 types of shaft available for the Blast. The straight shaft and the ergonomic bent shaft. The straight shaft is built in carbon Kevlar and the ergonomic bent shaft is in carbon.

What is the interest of having an ergonomic bent shaft on the Blast ?

The ergonomic bent shaft brings a better grip comfort than the straight shaft . It enables you to keep your wrists aligned with your arms and to reduce joint stress.

What are the advantages of the different adjusting systems available on the Blast ?

You can choose among several options on your Blast:

  • Fixed or Mono : This option means that you have a Blast with no displaceable adjusting system. The length is fixed.
  • Vario S-Lock System : The Vario S-Lock can be adjusted over 10 cm on straight handles and 4 cm on ergonomic bent shaft . The choice of the feather is infinite. It also enables you to adjust your paddle with more precision. This option is recommended for all the paddle-users who want to customize their Blast as much as possible.
